    Bannerman Auctions is a collaboration between Jeff Shrader of Advance Guard Militaria and James Supp of Coronado Trading Co.  Jeff and James forged their friendship over the course of many seasons working together on the set of the PBS series Antiques Roadshow.  Their areas of expertise and similar perspectives on the collecting marketplace regularly led them to consult with one another; at first on segments for the show, and then soon on their regular businesses of appraisals, collection purchases, item cataloging, etc.  When Jeff determined that AGM needed to evolve from retail sales to an auction platform, it was quite natural to turn to James for advice, who has consulted for a number of the major auction houses in the US.  

    60+ years of experience

    After the 2023 Roadshow stop in Anchorage, Alaska, these two spent an additional week in that beautiful location hiking the Chugach Mountains, and comparing notes on what various auctions do well, and more importantly, what they could improve .  This resulted in a business plan built specifically to capitalize on the former, and avoid the latter.  Originally James was simply consulting… but as the ideas began to take shape and enthusiasm built, it quickly became clear to them both that a partnership had just been forged.  This combines over 60 years of experience in not just Arms & Militaria, but also the broad world of Collectables as well.
