Militaria Through The Ages
Over 290 lots of military antiques, with something for everyone!
The sale spans the ages, ranging from a Napoleonic War British Infantry officer’s sword to souvenirs from the most recent war in Afghanistan, with a heavy emphasis on WWI and WWII militaria.
Highlights include several premium WWII US Navy / Marine Corps aviator flight helmets with one exceptional example with ‘volcano cup’ earphones, a large US roundel c.1921-1941 from a Navy or Marine Corps fabric skin aircraft, a nearly complete US Navy aviator’s parachute back pad jungle survival kit, and a true conversation piece: the 1950s-1960s PH-631 experimental Signal Corps reconnaissance camera.
The sale includes Spanish-American War headgear and edged weapons, a number of German WWII belt buckles including several nice tropical examples, German WWII flags and edged weapons, and a very interesting photo album from the US Chemical Corps in WWI showing a number of experimental gas protection systems. The sale also includes a number of large lots of patches and metal insignias.
